APEFA has on December 28, 2021 in Gisagara District, held a training on environment management and community based climate change adaptation in line with Green Amayaga project that aims to eventually see the Amayaga region- where Gisagara locates- green again.

Here, local leaders including Cells’ Social and Economic Development Officers (SEDOs), Sector agronomists, Youth and Women committee leaders among others working in agriculture and environment protection sector met to discuss everybody’s role to make #GreenAmayaga a success.

Action pour la Protection de l’Environnement et la Promotion des Filieres Agricoles (APEFA) partners with Rwanda Environment Management Authority (REMA) on Green Amayaga project where it was mandated to act on capacity building and mobilization for the beneficiaries of the project. 

Green Amayaga is a six-year initiative that aims to restore forest landscape and improve livelihoods in Amayaga Region extending on four Districts; Nyanza, Gisagara, Ruhango and Kamonyi.
