The Green Amayaga project have 10 Field Assistants, deployed in four (4) districts: Gisagara, Ruhango, Nyanza and Kamonyi.

APEFA’s staffs for Green Amayaga project held a fruitful technical meeting with the field assistants of the project of community capacity building for Forest Landscape Restoration (FLR), discussing on the implementation and reviewing the progress of the project.

A one day-event was attended by 10 field Assistants;  Forest Expert, Eng. Jackson NDERA project coordinator of the project and Eric Sibomana, APEFA Technical Program Manager, and took place last Friday, 4th November 2022, at APEFA’s sub-Office, located in Nyanza district.

Eng. Jackson NDERA, the Project coordinator, mentioned that the main purpose was to review the progress of implemented activities as well as the challenges encountered so that with all team can find the solution in order to better progress for implementation.

“It was also an important time for field Assistants to meet with their colleagues from different working site, sharing the working experience and helps them to better performance.” Added Eng. Jackson.

Eric Sibomana, Project Technical Manager at APEFA, also highlighted the importance of working together as a team for improved results.

He recalled that an improvement in visiting project targeted groups including Farmer Field School (FFS), Community Driven Development (CDD), Forest Owners Association (FAO) and Trees Nursery Youth is required at regular time.

Sibomana asked the field team to ameliorate their reporting by working on meeting deadlines and content. “The technical meeting & refreshment of the field assistants aimed to equip them with the needed knowledge about the Green Amayaga Project and its activities, work, procedures and reporting.”
